Mairpearl Brooks

Ms. Brooks is an incumbent. She has put a lot of effort into the BOE but I cannot support her. Seems to not be interested in change. This BOE needs change and unlike the other incumbent running I don't see it in her. It is my recollection that until all three incumbents lost last year she did not support televising the BOE meetings. She has not submitted to TUF thus limiting my comments. • 31-year resident of Franklin.
• 6 years on the BOE.
• Significant Educational experience including teaching.
• Wants to find better prices for textbooks.
• Bemoaned unfunded mandates.
• Supports volunteerism.
• Discipline through on site suspension.
• Supports the budget. Believes it is trimmed to the core and is fair to the taxpayers.



• Attends Most BOE meetings and is on time.
