Changes to the TUF site

We will be making a few changes on the site. We will no longer be carrying Lucretia Cortelyou's column or the Citizen Observer.

We regret these changes but last week we discovered that the Franklin Township Republican web site has also been publishing Ms. Cortelyou's column. It is important to TUF's mission that we are non-party biased and while this wasn't a direct affiliation with the Republican Party we want to avoid even the perception of a connection.

For similar reasons we will no longer be carrying the Citizen Observer. It too was being published on the Republican site.

TUF regrets losing both of these columns but we cannot afford to appear biased towards one party. This does not mean that we will refrain from backing the candidate that we believe is better for Franklin. It means that if we do so we will do it without party bias.

To that end and to help the voters decide for whom they will vote. We will be offering our site to both candidates. For details look as the menu choice on the left of the page, ELECTION 2004.

In keeping will TUF's policy of never deleting a page so that there is always a record of what we have said, Ms. Cortelyou's column will be retired to the archives. We will leave the Citizen Observer in place because it was reporting on passed events and deleting would leave a hole. We will however not be adding to it. If anyone believes that this is inappropriate please email us and we will consider your comments.
