TUF offers At Large candidates open access to its site.

Candidates Catherine Barrier - Republican and Harry Weber - Independent Democrat announce that they are running for the at large position currently held by Councilwoman Danile. Council Woman Danile filled the position when it was vacated by Councilman Schrum due to illness.

TUF offers 2nd Ward candidates open access to its site.

To facilitate the voters from Franklin Township's 2nd Ward TUF is extending an offer to the candidates running for the second ward Township Council position. Brain Levine (R) vacated this position when he was elected as Franklin's first voter selected Mayor. Mr. Gene Unger (R) currently fills that seat but has decided not to run.

Two candidates have filed to run for the 2nd Ward council position. They are (in alphabetical order) Teresa Danile (D) and Shirley Pietrucha (R). Ms. Pietruchia's name many be familiar with frequent visitors of TUF. She has written our column "The Citizen Observer". During the election TUF will no longer feature the Observer. TUF is party neutral and at this point is not supporting either candidate. As the election draws near, however, we may endorse a candidate.

TUF will provide it's site for both candidates to express their views and if they desire, to comment on what each other has said. TUF will publish these comments UNEDITTED and during the election will not add editorial comment directed toward either candidate individually. After the election the winning candidate's comments will remain on the site so that the candidates can be held to her promises.

We shall soon be drafting a letter that we will put on the site and send to both candidates.
