Nov 2005 Ballot Referenda
There will be three questions on the ballot this month. Two are state wide.
Public Question # 1: Constitutional Amendment to Establish the Office of Lieutenant Governor.
Public Question # 2: Constitutional Amendment to Expand uses of Dedicated Tax Revenue to Fund air Pollution Control and Administrative Costs of the Underground Storage Tank Program.
You can refer to the The League of Women Voters of New Jersey for help on how to vote.

There will be one Somerset County Referendum on Open Space Spending.
Be aware TUF is issue biased on this referendum. It is presented by the county Freeholders, a largely Republican group of elected officials. We are against the referendum and suggest that you vote no. We spell out why in the first link below.
- A reprint of a letter to the editor from Arnold W. Schmidt Chairman, Franklin's Environmental Commission.
- Resolution of the Franklin Township Environmental Commission.
- Environmental Commission's Comments TUF has a confession to make about this excellent article. Though we are 100% in agreement with it we believe that it was inappropriate for it to be on a government web site because it went beyond education and expressed a single point of view. We regret having to do this but we believe in a principle both when it is convenient and when it's not.
We apologize for mixing causes here but some may see this in contrast to our stance on FTTV-25 cable casting a candidates debate. We believe the difference is that a debate by its nature presents at least two sides to an issue.
