In Ritchie's first letter to the public she insists that Chip Hoever started the recall so that he could run for her Council position. She clearly will say anything to defend herself. She made the claim with no evidence. Chip has pledged to not run for her position. The letter contain several other inaccuracies.

Ms. Ritchie has sent out a letter defending herself against the recall. Again she has difficulty sticking to the facts. Her letter stated that it was the Council that sent her to meet with Jack Morris. The Council itself proves that this is a lie.

At the Feb 13th, 2007 meeting Ms. Ritchie took offense to our statement on the misdeeds page that two projects had disappeared from consideration as competition to the Ritchie-Morris plan. She insisted that the Council had removed those two projects by quoting the Nov 22, 2005 minutes. We show that the minutes were wrong. While one might say she was fooled by inaccurate minutes, we wonder what led her to recall something that never happened. Why were the minutes wrong?

In mid February voters in the 3rd ward received a call from Senator Bob Smith in support of Ms. Ritchie. While not directly a lie we believe that this call is extremely misleading and disingenuous. Ms. Ritchie does not disclose that Senator Smith is Jack Morris's Lawyer ( 1 2 3 on each link search for Smith). Ritchie connections demonstrate several conflicts of interest.
