We Ask,
What happened to the Bathgate/Leonia and Lakeside Road projects?
Why were they not discussed on Dec 13th, 2005?
Why is it not in the minutes that the Council wanted to hear more?
On the Misdeeds page we state

November-December 2005 - On Nov 22 Ritchie unsuccessfully lobbied to remove two projects that competed with the Ritchie-Morris Plan. Those two projects, never the less mysteriously disappeared from consideration at the Dec 13th Council Meeting. |

At the Feb 13th, 2007 meeting Ms. Ritchie took offense to our statement. She insisted that the Council had removed those two projects by quoting the Nov 22, 2005 minutes (page 5-08 or Full minutes from Franklin TWP site).

We know however, that that isn't true because we were at the Nov 22, 2005 meeting. Mr. Vassanella also recalled what happened at that meeting and stated so on Feb 13, 2007.

What really happened
The two projects (Lakeside and Bathgate/Leona) were considered in the fair share plan and discussed at length at the Nov 22, 2005 council meeting. Council (specifically Mr. McKenzie) requested to be instructed, at the Dec 13th meeting, about the effects of including one or both of these projects. You then hear Mayor Levine introducing the next unrelated agenda item indicating that this was how the discussion concluded. |
