Perhaps you received a letter from the Ritchie Defense Campaign last week. It's a letter that blatantly ignores the truth. Prior to sending it Ms. Ritchie, Mr. Smith, Mr. Egan and Mr. Pelios were aware of the article in the Home News Tribune and had access to a letter signed by 34 high ranking members of the Democratic party asking for her resignation and supporting the recall.


Despite knowing that well over 1/3 of the Democratic Committee supports her resignation or her recall they still tried to make it seem as if it is a Republican cause. She also fails to mention that she is being recalled because of her involvement with the development of Jack Morris, that Bob Smith has worked as Jack Morris's attorney, that Smith, Egan, Chivukula, and Pelios have all received campaign money that originally came from Jack Morris.

If prior to receiving that letter you had no reason to agree with the recall then you have a reason now.

Once again, first the HNT article and the letter signed by 34 Democrats comes out then one week later Ms. Ritchie, Mr. Smith, Mr. Egan and Mr. Pelios send out their letter saying it was Republicans.

Other points:

• They do not address the main issues such as; she met in private with Jack Morris, she threatened Dr. Orsini and she lied about both of these. Why? Because they know her actions are indefensible.
• These law makers make recall seem outside of the law yet they are the state legislators that make the laws. We don't see them repealing the recall law.
• If we are wrong, that they in fact did not know that 34 Democrats have asked for Ms. Ritchie to resign, then we await their retraction.
