Ritchie is wrong again, this time about the "missing" projects.
Recall Announcement
On Dec 12, 2006 Chip Hoever announced at a Township meeting that he had filed to begin the recall of Ellen Ritchie. Please note, The meeting started at 7:00 PM. When Chip finished at 9:10, Mayor Levine gives Ms. Ritchie an opportunity to respond. She declined. Chip had waited over two hours to make his announcement and was of course still there when Ritchie declined the invitation to respond.
Then at 10:30, a full 1-1/2 hours later, Ritchie finally responds starting with this disingenuous rhetoric.
She then went on to say.
Chip has emailed (1,2)and called Ms. Ritchie asking her to itemize any inaccuracies that she finds on the web site. After no response, on Dec 22, he resent the letters via registered mail. If she does point out inaccuracies we will reexamine our research and if she is correct we will remove it from the site. So far (Dec 31st), she has not replied.
She has pledged to go over items on this web site one-by-one. We predict that she will do so at the end of the meeting after the public has its last opportunity to speak. That was her comments go unchallenged.
If she was interested in a fair exchange she'd make her comments as an agenda item, prior to the public session, thus allowing and open and civil discussion.
Ritchie participates in a mockery of the 2007 Council Reorganization meeting.
Read the HNT coverage of the reorganization meeting.
On Jan 2, 2007 the Council met as it does each year to select people to various Township committees. Amongst other things these committees govern land use, zoning, health and sewage control.
When making nominations for the Historic Preservation Commission Ritchie does not care that her nominee has missed 8 of 8 meetings to date. She is caught again in a lie when she misrepresented the nominees record but then started back peddling when Mr. McKenzie started asking questions. We have "beeped" the nominee's name. Our issue is not with him/her. Ritchie's behavior is particularly bothersome here because she voted Mr. Joseph Danielsen off the planning board allegedly due to his missing 50% of meetings one year after six years of outstanding attendance. Mr. Danielsen helped expose Ritchie's threatening Dr. Orsini. We believe that that is why he was fired. 3:38.
Despite her "complete" research Ritchie didn't realize that this good person, with an admittedly less than perfect attendance record on the planning board, has recognized that he does not have the time to give the board its proper attention and did not wish to serve. The day after the reorg meeting he emailed his intention to resign to the chair. Clearly Ms. Ritchie hadn't done the research she claimed she had done. We have not beeped out his name. While we have no issue with this person we are providing a copy of the email and to do so without including the name would lack credibility. We believe this person acted responsibly. 2:08
