TUF makeover - The site has undergone a makeover. New articles are Over Development, School Spending (which is a rewrite of old information), How to help and Tax Growth.  The later shows you how Franklin taxes have grown beyond what you would expect from inflation and population growth alone. Over development is a major concern, I expect to show in an up coming article that taxes increase with increased development.  New houses do not pay for themselves in taxes if it brings with it even one child attending school. http://www.betuf.org

BOE Oversight and Televised Meetings - For several months I have, as TUF's director, been going to BOE (Board of Education) meetings asking them each time to have an outside independent review of their operational budget to see if the money is being spent correctly.  Today the Home News Tribune printed my letter to the editor on the subject.

We need others to go to the next BOE meeting and voice their opinion about these issues (Feb 16th at 7:30 at the Franklin Middle School Auditorium).  If you agree with me then during the public speaking portion of the meeting say so.  IF you disagree then say that but either way Franklin needs its citizens to get involved.  If you do not wish to speak then applaud for other that share your beliefs.

BOE meeting - Feb 16th at 7:30 at the Franklin Middle School Auditorium (Old High school)
